Growing up in a different country, when it was time for me to research colleges, it was difficult for my parents to help me with choosing the right school, complete the admission process, and apply for many of the complicated financial aid applications. I struggled, and had to reach out to high school counselors, friends and their families, about college and how to make the right choice. Arriving on-campus, I learned there were fees and costs that were not properly explained prior to starting school. I again struggled to understand how an 18 year old is supposed to know all of this, and pay for college. Financing college was a difficult process, and as a result I switched schools twice. After graduating, I learned how much debt I obtained to get my education, which was over 100k. After acquiring a position in higher education, and moving from admission to financial aid, I saw a great need to provide assistance to students on an individual basis, without the restriction and rules of an institution. And thus I started my own Consulting firm, in hopes of helping students and families achieve higher education goals, and not be left alone to 'just figure it out' from researching schools and selecting schools, to admission, and financial aid. It is so gratifying to help students attain an education without the struggle of navigating the college process.
